Fiber

OSM displays four Fiber objects under the

ServerNet Ports

on a

ServerNet Switch

in blade

enclosures.

Location in OSM Tree: System > Enclosure > ServerNet Switch > Port > Fiber.

Attributes

None.

Displayed in the Attributes tab and Attributes dialog box only if the value is
something other than OK.

The state of the component as known to the operating system on the server.

Fibre Channel Router

Allows two SCSI tape devices to be connected to a port on a Fibre Channel ServerNet Adapter
(FCSA). After the router is connected to the maintenance LAN and initially configured, as described
in the M8201R Fibre Channel to SCSI Router Installation and User’s Guide, you can use OSM
actions

Start Monitoring Fibre Channel Router

(located under the Monitored Service LAN Devices

object) to have OSM discover and start monitoring the router, and

Link to Web Interface

(under

the Fibre Channel Router object) to access its browser-based configuration interface.

Attributes

Physical

The model of the router. Currently supported option: Fibre Channel to SCSI
Router.

Model

The media access control (MAC) address of the router.

MAC Address

The name of the fibre channel port that connects the router to the FCSA.

World Wide Port Name

The part number of the component that was assigned in manufacturing. Use
part numbers for identifying and ordering parts.

Part Number

Indicates whether IP address assignment by DHCP (for this router) is enabled
or disabled.

DHCP Setting

The IPv4 address of the router. Currently supported model: M8201.

IPv4 Address

The version of the ROM on the router.

ROM Version

Indicates whether the fibre channel port connecting the router to the FCSA
is up or down.

FC Port Status

A unique identification number assigned to each switch in manufacturing.
