Physical
Identifies the manufacturer of the component.
Manufacturer
Whether the component is powered on.
Power State
Logical
The current state of the fan as known to the operating system.
Enabled State
Rotations Sensor
The minimum acceptable fan speed is 1800 RPM. If the speed falls below
1800, an alarm is generated.
Normal Minimum Value
The current fan speed, measured in rotations per minute (RPM).
Alarms are generated if the speed of the fan falls below 1800 (minimum
RPM) or rises above 5800 (maximum RPM).
Current Value
The maximum acceptable fan speed is 5800 RPM. If the speed rises above
5800, an alarm is generated.
Normal Maximum Value
Actions
Enable/Disable
Restores or stops power to the fan. After servicing the fan or its associated PMCU, perform the
Enable action.
Parameter: Enabled (true = enabled, false = disabled)
Fan Assembly (Blade Element)
In the OSM Service Connection, Fan Assembly objects are displayed as subcomponents under the
object for Integrity NonStop NS1000, NS1200, NS2000 series, NS2100, NS2200
series, NS2300, NS2400 series, NS5000, and NS3000AC servers only.
Attributes
Fan Assembly
Displayed in the Attributes tab and Attributes dialog box only if the value is
something other than OK.
Service State
Physical
The part number of the component that was assigned in manufacturing. Use
part numbers for identifying and ordering parts.
NOTE:
Not displayed for NS2100, NS2200 series, NS2300, or NS2400
series.
Part Number
Logical
The state of the fan as reported by OSM. Possible values include
OK,FAN_CRITICAL_FAULT, etc.
