in this dialog box. You can add members to the new role by clicking Add Member. Under Privileges,
select the actions that can be performed by the members of this role. Any OSM actions not listed
here are actions that cannot be restricted through the Access Control List functionality. Click Save
Role to save the role and have it added to the list of available roles. You can delete members from
a role by using the Delete Member button or delete a selected role by clicking Delete Role.
You can click Create Report to create and save a report showing the details for each role on the
system. These reports are saved, in .csv format (best opened through Microsoft Excel or WordPad),
to the console from which it is created. The default location is: Documents and
Settings\user-name\Application Data\HP\OSM.
The access control feature is enabled by default in T0682 H02 ACJ and later, but can be disabled
through a setting in your OSMCONF file. For information on disabling the feature, see the OSM
Configuration Guide
Migrating Access Control List Settings
If you create or customize roles for one NonStop system, you can use the following procedure to
migrate those settings to other NonStop systems:
1.
On the system from which you want to migrate the settings, copying the ACLREPO file located
in $system.zservice.
2.
On the system to which you want to migrate the settings, stop the CIMOM process, then copy
the ACLREPO file from the other system to $system.zservice (overwriting the existing file, if
one exists).
3.
If the system you are migrating to has an existing ACLREBAK in $system.zservice (this is a
backup file for ACLREPO), purge the existing file before restarting CIMOM.
4.
Restart the CIMOM process. The system will inherit the access control settings from the system
that the ACLREPO file was copied from, and a ACLREBAK backup file will be created
automatically.
