Display Diagnostic Status Errors
Displays all diagnostic status errors for the Enclosure.
Launch the Onboard Administrator
Launches the Onboard Administrator (OA) management page.
Prepare Enclosure for Removal
Prepares the enclosure for removal. This action is not valid for group 100.
Set Physical Location
Allows you to assign these
attributes for the enclosure, with the exception of Rack
Name:
•
Rack Name -- for the enclosure, the rack name is assigned in the OA and cannot be changed
through this OSM action.
•
Rack Offset is a numerical value representing the location of the enclosure within the rack. A
valid integer (from 1 to 42) must be specified when performing the Set Physical Location
action, or the action fails.
•
Locator is an optional text string to help identify the physical location of the enclosure. It must
contain alphanumeric characters only.
•
This parameter is used for DC-powered Telco systems only.
You can also use the
to set the Rack Name and Rack Offset values in
a consistent manner throughout the system while you create a physical view of your modular racks.
ESS Disk
Enterprise Storage System disk drive. ESS disks are visible in the tree pane and in the Inventory
view of the Management window. In the tree pane, expand the ESS Disk Collection object to see
the individual ESS disk drives. In the Inventory view, each ESS disk drive is listed on a separate
line. ESS disk drives are not visible in the Physical view.
ESS disks connect to your system through FCSAs in
enclosures. For more

ServerNet Adapter Installation and Support Guide.
Location in OSM Tree: System > ESS Disk Collection > ESS Disk
Example: ESS Disk $DAVON
Attributes
ESS Disk
Displayed in the Attributes tab and Attributes dialog box only if the value is
something other than OK.
Service State
Logical
The logical device number used by the operating system to identify the disk.
Example: 7
Logical Device Number
The current state of the backup disk path.
Backup Path State
The total size (in kilobytes) of disk storage space.
