4PSE (4-Port ServerNet Extender)
Used only in HP Integrity NonStop NS14000 or NonStop NS1000 systems containing IOAMs,
4PSEs provide ServerNet connectivity to the processors. Such systems contain just one IOAM
enclosure with either one or two 4-Port ServerNet Extenders in each IOAM (in slots 1 and 2, in
place of an FCSA or G4SA). Each 4PSE contains four
Attributes
Physical
A code that identifies the generation of the component. Hardware revision
codes are used for tracking components.
Hardware Revision
Indicates whether or not the 4PSE’s amber LED is lit. This state is determined
by the
action.
Value: On or Off
LED State
The part number of the component that was assigned in manufacturing. Use
part numbers for identifying and ordering parts.
Part Number
Indicates whether the component is powered on.
Power State
A unique serial number that identifies the component. Track IDs are used for
tracking components.
Track ID
Identifies the type of ServerNet PIC.
Value: 4-Port ServerNet Extender
Type
Logical
The state of the component as known to the operating system on the server.
Device State
Actions
Power Off
Shuts off power to the 4PSE.
Power On
Restores power to the 4PSE.
Replace
Launches a service procedure describing how to replace a 4PSE.
