NIC (CLIM)

For Gen8 CLIMs, there are three types of NIC cards, as identified by the Model and Part Number
attributes. The Models are:

HP Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331FLR Adapter
•
HP NC560SFP+ 1GbE NIC
•
HP Ethernet 1Gb 2-port 332T Adapter (HP NC332T NIC)

Attributes
NIC
Displayed in the Attributes tab and Attributes dialog box only if the value is
something other than OK.
Service State
Logical
The state of the NIC as known to the operating system on the server. Possible
values include: OK and Fault.
Device State
Physical
The model number of the CLIM NIC that was assigned in manufacturing.
Model
Displayed only for NICs on a Gen8 CLIM, this represents the part number
of the NIC assigned in manufacturing, and used for identifying and ordering
a replacement.
Part Number
Firmware
Indication of the differences, if any, between the current and default NIC
firmware versions.
Compare State
The name of the file to be used for an NIC firmware update.
