OSM also automatically performs periodic checking of these services. Performed every 24 hours
by default, the frequency is configurable through an OSMCONF setting. For more information on
OSMCONF settings, see the OSM Configuration Guide.
Check Storage Dependence on ServerNet Fabric
Launches a guided procedure to determine whether system components are dependent upon a
particular ServerNet fabric. This is recommended as a pre-check before performing service
procedures that disrupt ServerNet traffic on one fabric, such as replacing a P-switch (or ServerNet
Switch Board, for systems without P-switches), updating ME FPGA, or performing a Power Cycle
or Hard Reset action.
Clear External BladeCluster Configuration
This action clears the existing cluster configuration on the system.
Collect Diagnostic Data
This action collects diagnostic data for your system. Upon performing the action, you are prompted
to specify date and time parameters. Based on the date and time specified:
•
Diagnostic events are collected for a period of 12 hours (configurable through OSMCONF
file) before and three hours after the specified date and time.
•
Diagnostic Data files, such as ZZAAxxxx, ZZSNxxxx, and ZZPSxxxx, are collected for a period
of three hours starting from the specified date and time.
The volume in which this diagnostic data is collected is specified by the
action.
Compare HSS Firmware Versions
This action compares and displays the running Halted State Services (HSS) firmware version for
each Processor Blade on the system. Upon completion of the action (when state of the action is
“Passed”), select the action and click Details to see the HSS firmware version for each Processor
Blade.
Copy Core License to Alternate System Disk
Valid only for NonStop BladeSystem NB54000c and NB56000c, this action copies the core
license file from $SYSTEM to the specified alternate system disk.
Delete System Load Configuration
Allows you to delete one of the alternate system load configurations that is currently displayed
under the system object attributes.
These configurations are created through the System Load Configuration action (located under the
,
, and
objects in the OSM Service Connection). It might be
necessary to delete one of the configurations if the specified disk is no longer a valid system disk,
or if you want to specify a new alternate system disk and there are already (the maximum number
of) four alternate system load configurations specified.
Detect New Hardware
This action is used during service procedures to detect any new Blade Element or LSU component
that had been disabled or isolated from the system by user.
