Firmware

Indication of the differences, if any, between the current and default firmware
versions.

Values

Compare State

The name of the file to be used for a firmware update.

Default File Name

The version of the firmware to be used for a firmware update.

Default File Version

The version of the firmware running on the SAS disk enclosure.

Firmware Update

Updates the firmware on the SAS Disk Enclosure.

Upon successful completion, OSM now gives you the option of turning on the enclosure's LED, to
help you identify the enclosure for the purpose of power cycling it to complete the firmware update
process

Replace

Launches a documented service procedure to replace the SAS disk enclosure in a NonStop
BladeSystem or supported NonStop NS-series system.

Set LED State

Turns the LED on the SAS disk enclosure on or off.

SAS Disk Enclosures

This object contains each

SAS Disk Enclosure

connected to a NonStop BladeSystem or supported

NonStop NS-series system.

SCSI Controller

A controller that manages devices using the Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) protocol. This
SCSI controller is a component of I/O Multifunction (

IOMF2

) CRUs.

Location in OSM Tree: System > Group > Module > IOMF2 > SCSI Controller

Slot Location: SCSI controllers are located on IOMF2 CRUs in slots 50 and 55 of I/O enclosures.
