Command Syntax
spanning-tree path-cost number
no spanning-tree path-cost
number The cost to be assigned to the group. The range is 1 to 200000000.
Command Mode
Interface mode
Default
The default path cost value is calculated according to interface’s speed.
Usage
The priority values can only be set in increments of 16.
Examples
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# interface eth-0-1
Switch(config-if)# spanning-tree path-cost 123

Use this command to enable or disable point-to-point or shared link types. Use the no parameter with
this command to disable rapid transition.
Command Syntax
spanning-tree link-type {auto | point-to-point | shared}
no spanning-tree link-type
auto Change link type according to interface’s duplex automatically.
shared Disable rapid transition.
point-to-point Enable rapid transition.
