Usage
The Spanning Tree Protocol sends BPDUs from all ports. Enabling the BPDU Filter feature ensures that
edgeport enabled ports do not transmit or receive any BPDUs.
Use the show spanning tree command to display administratively configured and currently running
values of the BPDU filter parameter for the bridge and port.
Examples
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# spanning-tree edgeport bpdu-filter

Use this command to specify the time interval after which a port is brought back up.
Command Syntax
spanning-tree bpdu-transparent {enable | disable}
enable
bridge forward BPDUs as multicast data packets
disable
Bridge send BPDUs to CPU and not forward out
Command Mode

Default
By default, the bridge sends BPDUs to CPU.
Usage
This command can only be set when spanning tree protocol is disabled globally. And if spanning tree
protocol set to enabled, the bpdu-transparent state must be set to disabled.
