Connecting 1394 Digital Drive Systems

The 1394 digital drive must be placed in the 9/Series fiber optic ring.
Configure this drive into the I/O ring using the I/O configuration utility as
discussed in your 9/Series PAL Reference Manual. Since multiple 1394
drives (up to four) are allowed into the 9/Series I/O ring each drive must be
given an independent ASRN address on the ring. This ASRN ring
address is selected using a dip switch on the CNC interface module.
