Configuring LLDP

Whether the link is capable of being aggregated

Whether the link is currently aggregated

The primary trunk port
Devices advertise link aggregation information about standard link aggregation (LACP) as well as
static trunk configuration.
By default, link-aggregation information is automatically advertised when LLDP is enabled on a
global basis. To disable this advertisement, enter a command such as the following.
TurboIron(config)#no lldp advertise link-aggregation ports e 12
Syntax: [no] lldp advertise link-aggregation ports ethernet
The link aggregation advertisement will appear similar to the following on the remote device, and in
the CLI display output on the device (show lldp local-info).
Link aggregation: not capable
MAC/PHY configuration status
The MAC/PHY configuration and status TLV includes the following information:
•
Auto-negotiation capability and status
•
Speed and duplex mode
•
Flow control capabilities for auto-negotiation
•
Port speed down-shift and maximum port speed advertisement
•
If applicable, indicates if the above settings are the result of auto-negotiation during link
initiation or of a manual set override action
The advertisement reflects the effects of the following CLI commands:
•
speed-duplex
•
flow-control
•
gig-default
•
link-config
By default, the MAC/PHY configuration and status information are automatically advertised when
LLDP is enabled on a global basis. To disable this advertisement, enter a command such as the

TurboIron(config)#no lldp advertise mac-phy-config-status ports e 4 to 12
The MAC/PHY configuration advertisement will appear similar to the following on the remote
device, and in the CLI display output on the device (show lldp local-info).
Syntax: [no] lldp advertise mac-phy-config-status ports ethernet
