User Preset Effect

Effects registered by the user. These effects can be customized (by adjusting the parameters, combining multiple
effects, or renaming) and saved. “U” is displayed on their icons.
Registering Effects to [Effect] Palette
Default Effect

Effects used in the default setting. You can set these effects only for transition, audio cross fade, and title mixer.
Properties of Effects
You can check the effect with animation. You can also change the property of user preset effects.
1 Select an effect and click [Property] in the [Effect] palette.
The [Property] dialog box appears.

• Right-click the effect and click [Property].

You can check the transitions in animation by selecting an effect in the effect view.
• You can change the property of user preset effects. You can only edit the user preset effects. (Application of
effects to the L or R sides cannot be changed.)
How to Apply Effects
You can apply the effect to a clip easily by simple operations such as dragging and dropping.

For a project with the video quantization bitrate of 10 bits, the following effects can process it maintaining the
10-bit accuracy. For other effects, the project is processed in 8 bits and then converted to 10 bits.
- Alpha composite/transparency rubber band (Layer stack without Keyer)
- [Track Matte]
- [Mask]
- [Blend Filters]
- [Combine Filters] (if a sub filter that supports 10 bits is used)
- [Color Correction]
- [Block Color]
- [Blur]
- [Smooth Blur]
- [Select channel]
- [Sharpness]
- [Transition]
- [TitleMixers]
For 10 bit non-compatible effects, the “!” icon is displayed on the [Effect] and [Information] palettes.
