Checking the Solution Levels in the Sensors
Use this procedure to ensure that the sensors contain fill solution to the levels
described in Figure 3-5.

NOTE:
The pO

and pCO

sensors do not require you to maintain them, even
though they have fill solution. Slight discoloration of the fill solution in the pO
2
and pCO

sensors is normal.
NOTE:
The glucose and lactate biosensors do not require fill solution.

Refer to Appendix A, Protecting Yourself from Biohazards, for
recommended precautions when working with biohazardous materials.

Stop the system from the Menu screen:
a. Select
2 Maintenance
and press
Enter
.
b. Select
7 Stop System
and press
Enter
.
2.
Open the measurement module door as shown in Figure 3-6:
a. Push up the latches on the measurement module door.
b. Lift the door.
