MCT debug commands
The following are the MCT-related debug commands.
The debug cluster forwarding command displays all the MCT forwarding-related events or
messages in the Management Processor (MP) that can affect traffic forwarding. Some examples
include remote CCEP status changes, MCT Filter ID (FID) creation, FID updates, and so on.
Command output resembles the following example.
BigIron RX# debug cluster forwarding
CLUSTER FORWARDING: MCT CCEP control FID 0xa006 for vlan 101 - REMOVE CCEP port
1/1
CLUSTER FORWARDING: Processing remote CCEP UP event for port eth 1/1
CLUSTER FORWARDING: Processed remote CCEP event for port 1/1 for 100 vlans
CLUSTER FORWARDING: MCT CCEP control FID 0xa006 for vlan 101 - ADD CCEP port 1/1
CLUSTER FORWARDING: Processing remote CCEP DOWN event for port eth 1/1
Syntax: [no] debug cluster forwarding
The debug cluster ipc command is helpful to debug MCT-related inter-process communication (IPC)
messages in the Line Processor (LP).
Command output resembles the following example.
BigIron RX# debug cluster ipc
CLUSTER IPC: MCT FID 0xa005 received for vlan 101
CLUSTER IPC: cluster 1, vlan mask change
Syntax: [no] debug cluster ipc
The debug cluster ccp command displays information related to CCP transactions.
Syntax: [no] debug cluster ccp [fsm | tcp | packet | itc | client-events | memory]

fsm - Displays debugging information about Finite State Machine (FSM) transactions.
•
tcp - Displays debugging information about Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).
•
packet - Displays debugging information about CCP packet exchange operation.
•
itc - Displays debugging information about MCT-related inter-task communication (ITC)
messages.
•
client-events - Displays debugging information about the client events.
•
memory - Displays CCP memory debugging information.
The debug cluster ccp fsm command displays information related to FSM transactions.
Command output resembles the following example.
BigIron RX# debug cluster ccp fsm
Oct 19 14:36:27 CCP: Fsm2 entry 5.5.5.5
Oct 19 14:36:27 CLUSTER CCP: sent an init msg to = 5.5.5.5
