Layer 2 Hitless failover

Provides automatic failover from the active management module to
the standby management module without interrupting operation of
any interface modules in the chassis.

The BigIron RX supports IGMP snooping.

MAC Filtering

MAC filtering and address-lock filters to enhance network security

Multi-Chassis Trunking (MCT)

Supports MCT, which is a technology that allows multiple switches to
appear as a single logical switch. MCT allows connecting a single
MCT-unaware server or switch to two MCT-aware switches using a
standard Link Aggregation (LAG) trunk.
