4. Once the air filter is removed, rinse it in cold water until the water runs clear.
5. Shake out the excess water from the air filter. The air filter should be dry before you reinstall it.
Installing the Air Filter
To reinstall the air filter, use the following procedures:
1. Slide the air filter into the door in the way that you removed it. Make sure that the wavy side of the
filter material is against the door.
2. Once the air filter is in position, push the corners and the top and bottom edges of the air filter
against the velcro hold-downs.
3. Close and lock the door to the cabinet.
Motherboard Assembly
The motherboard provides the communications bus for the VCU, CPU, and LIC printed circuit
assemblies as well as the d.c. power distribution for the disk drives. Figure 9-21 shows the motherboard
assembly.
