2.7.2 Encoder / Tachometer
The encoders and the tachometers give the speed feedback to the regulation. They have to be mounted on the
motor shaft with joints without gaps. The best regulation results are possible by using incremental sinusoidal
encoders; it is also possible to use digital incremental encoders or tachogenerators, see section, “Accuracy”.
