Motor
P = 30 kW, Armature volts = 420 V, Armature current = 82 A
Loadcycle
The motor is overloaded for 1 s at 180 % of the rated current, then it works at the rated
load for at least 5 s. Four quadrant converter.
Procedure
At first select the dc current according to the motor rated current. Usually it is the motor
rated current. If the determined motor operating point is not below the Overload curve of
the converter, the calculation should be repeated with the next larger converter size.
