Aliases Table
There is one table in which to configure aliases. It is found under the “Views’ pane:

At the top of the page is a ‘Mnemonic’ filter: if you enter text in this field, the list of aliases is
restricted to those aliases that contain the text you entered.
Alias List
The alias list has 4 columns:
•
ID. These are the database IDs of the groups.
•
Physical level. Choose a physical level from the drop-down menu that appears when you
click an entry in this column.
•
Input port. Enter a port number in fields of this column.
A port in the router control system is uniquely identified by a (physical level, port) pair.
•
Mnemonic. An entry in this column is the alias for the port specified by (physical level, input-
port).
This mnemonic appears in place of the device mmemonic wherever the port is used.
External interfaces do not report aliases.
You can use click, shift-click, and control-click techniques to select any of the aliases in the list.
