‘PhysConns’ Table
The ‘Physconns’ table is found under the ‘Tables’ portion of the ‘Views’ pane:
The ‘PhysConns’ table (i.e., physical connections table) lists all I/O ports defined in your configu-
ration (subject to the filters).
The table includes, for each port,
•
The name of the device to which the port belongs.
Any port can belong to more than one device definition in the configuration. Although a
port cannot be physically connected to more than one device at a time, it is possible to
create multiple device definitions that allow panel operators to use the same ports, but
in different ways.
•
The port type: input or output.
Remember that input ports are numbered independently of output ports.
•
The virtual level of the port.
The ‘PhysConns’ table neglects to specify the level set to which the port and its device
belong. Thus, the virtual level entries can be ambiguous because different level sets can
have identically named virtual levels.
