Data Fields
This section of the page identifies the mapping of the fields of your .csv file to the fields of the
table you selected in a previous step.
Note: if the file you selected does not match the table data, it will be very obvious.
The first column in this section represents the data fields of your selected table. The names
shown are concatenations of the table name and the field names of the table. In the illustration
above, for example, which is for the device table, the first entry is DEVICE_ID, which is a concate-
nation of “DEVICE” and “ID” with an underbar in the middle. (There is no such thing as a device
ID and there is no DEVICE_ID field anywhere in NV9000-SE Utilities.) The fields of a device table
are ID, mnemonic, description, and level set.
The second column represents the column headers from your .csv file. It is possible for the
column headers to contain any arbitrary text. It is also possible that the columns of the file are
not in the same order as the columns of the targeted table.
A mapping is required. By choosing a column header in a drop-down list for each entry on this
page you can map the correct columns to the data fields of the table.
You can also choose ‘None’ for the mapping. This means that the column in the .csv file is to be
ignored.
