Salvo Command Selection

The salvo command section section has 11 command choices and 3 options:

These are the commands:

Take

Previous Source

Pause

Source Lock

Source Protect

Source Release

Source Force Release

Destination Lock

Destination Protect

Destination Release

Destination Force Release

The commands are associated with radio buttons. You can select only one command at a time.

These are the options:

All Levels

Source Master

Broadcast

They are checkbox options.

(The ‘msec’ text box becomes enabled if you select the ‘Pause’ command.)

Command Syntax

The command section has a field that functions as a command preview so you can see the
command before you add it to the salvo.

Each of the 11 commands has its own syntax. When you choose a command, a prototype of the
command appears in the preview field. The word “null” appears one or more times in the
command prototype. The word null is a “token” that represents some value you must supply
from the source and destination lists or possibly from another source.

The individual command descriptions that follow explain the command syntax.

The syntax of some commands is affected by the options you choose, particularly the ‘All Levels’
option. See

Options

on page 397.

When you are constructing a command, avoid clicking in the ‘Salvo Description’ section.
Doing so resets the command section and the command you were constructing is replaced
with a default command prototype.

Commands

To build a salvo, you construct commands in the command section, using its preview field, and
then add the command to the salvo. There are 3 composition buttons that can do that:

Replace

Insert

Append

In all cases, after you have constructed a command, click one of these composition buttons to
add the command to the salvo. See

Salvo Composition Buttons

on page 398.
