Installation and Connections

The first asks for the IP address(es) of your system controller:

If your system is redundant, check the check box and enter the IP address of the second sys-
tem controller.

The second asks whether you want to restrict the EC9700 to one running instance:

Respond as you wish, yes or no. (Without this restriction, the user at this PC can run multiple
instances of the EC9700 GUI.)

The third asks whether you want to configure the EC9700 “per-user” or “per-computer”:

When you configure the GUI(s) in NV9000-SE Utilities, you must provide either (1) the com-
puter name of the PC on which the GUI will run or (2) a Windows user name for the person
who will operate the GUI.

If you choose “per-user” in this dialog, you must configure the GUI with a valid Windows user
name in NV9000-SE Utilities.

If you choose “per-computer” in this dialog, you must configure the GUI with the PC’s com-
puter name.

This requirement will be the case on every PC on which you install the GUIs.
