User’s Guide

It is easy to choose the wrong virtual level, especially if you have many that are similarly
named. Be careful!.

Buttons

At the bottom of the page (and other pages in the export equence) are buttons that allow you
to move through the sequence of steps in device definition. This page has 4 buttons:

Save Mapping

Next

Previous

Cancel

The buttons are grayed out (disabled) until they become applicable.

‘Save Mapping’ Button

The ‘Save Mapping’ button presents a dialog in which you can specify the name of a file in which
to save the mapping displayed in the page. This is the dialog:

Enter a name and click ‘Save’ to save the mapping.

Mapping files are always saved in NV9000-SE Utilities’ database repository on your PC. Under
Windows 7, this is usually C:\Users\‹user›\CtrlSysConfigs.

Mapping files have no file extension.

‘Next’ Button

Click ‘Next’ to go to the next page (the

Run Page

) of the import sequence.

‘Previous’ Button

Click ‘Previous’ to go to the previous page (the

Import Data File

page) of the import sequence.

‘Cancel’ Button

Click ‘Cancel’ if you want to terminate the import you started. When you click ‘Cancel’, NV9000-
SE Utilities closes the page.

Run Page

The ‘Run’ page is the same whether you are importing to a table or to a level set. However, the
results and the resulting messages are different in the two cases.
