2 Function buttons
These 2 buttons depend on the selected panel mode:
•
In gain control mode, button 9 sets selected channels to unity gain. Button 10 switches
the panel to balance control mode.
•
In balance control mode, button 9 centers the balance of selected channels. Button 10
switches the panel to gain control mode.
•
In source selection mode, both of these buttons support category selection.
3 Master volume knob
In gain and balance control modes, the master volume knob adjusts the total gain of the
channel mix.
In source selection mode, the master volume knob scrolls through categories and device
IDs.
4 Mode and information section
The four buttons in this section change depending on the panel mode. In gain and balance
control modes:
•
Button 11 shows the panel’s master gain value in dB.
•
Button 14 lets you change the panel’s output from stereo to mono and vice versa.
In source selection mode:
•
Button 11 lets you select a mixer input to which you want to assign a source.
•
Button 14 has no assigned function. It remains off.
Button 12 lets you change mode. Button 13 shows the panel mode.
5 Rotary encoder knobs
The 8 rotary encoders depend on the panel mode. Each affects the channel directly above it.
•
In gain mode, they adjust the gain of the stereo source.
•
In balance mode, they adjust the source’s left/right balance.
Important: A channel need not be selected for its associated encoder to adjust its gain or
balance.
Modes of Operation
There are 3 primary modes of operation:
•
In source selection mode, you assign sources to the mixer’s input channels. Source catego-
ries and device names are pre-configured using the NV9000 Router Control System.
In source selection mode, the selection buttons turn green.
•
In gain control mode, you control the gain of individual input channels and the mixer’s out-
put gain. You can also set selected channels to unity.
In gain control mode, the selection buttons turn amber.
•
In balance control mode, you control the balance of individual channels and the mixer’s out-
put gain. You can also “center” the balance of selected channels.
In balance selection mode, the selection buttons turn blue.
