Control Panels

NV9647V (Virtual Only)

Buttons can be illuminated in several colors: green, amber, yellow, red, blue, purple, and
grey. There are 3 levels of illumination: high tally (bright), low tally (muted) and off.

Button definitions.

In this section, configurers make button assignments, using its pull-down menus and text
fields. See

Button Definition Section

, following.

Button page table.

This section displays a list of the individual pages of the tree structure. The button page at
the top of the list (or root of the tree) is called “Default.” See

Button Page List

on page 289.

Panel options.

In this section, configurers may specify the behavioral characteristics of the panel.

At present, there is no NV9647 User’s Guide.

Display options.

In this section, configurers may partially specify the behavior of the display when the panel
is in X-Y mode.

In X-Y mode, the display shows 3 lines of level information. (The display also scrolls by 3 lines
at a time.) The display options let you specify explicitly what levels appear on those 3 lines.
The specification applies, however, only to the first page of the level display.

You may leave any of the fields in this section blank. If you leave all 3 fields blank, the display
will present levels in their default order.

If you leave only one or two fields blank, those display lines will appear blank, while the line
for which you specified a level will show that level.

Button Definition Section

The button definitions section has several controls:

The controls vary according to the button type.

Button Type

A pull-down menu where you may select a button type.

Button Caption

Three text boxes in which you can enter three lines of button text up to 8
characters each.

Button Color

A pull-down menu where you can select a button color: amber, blue, green,
grey, purple, red, or yellow.

Check box

“Place this button on all child pages.” If you check this option, the button
you are defining will occur, in the same position, on all pages in the subtree
available through the navigation button. A “back” button is a good candi-
date for such a button.
