Level Set Detail
The ‘Level Set Details’ section is the principal part of the page. This is a sample:
The rows of this table have 4 fields:
•
Display Index
The display indexes for the level set determine the order in which the levels are displayed on
a control panel. The level having the lowest index is displayed first or at the top of the panel’s
display. (Some panels that have re-legendable LCD buttons display level names on buttons.)
•
Virtual Level
One of the defined virtual levels.
•
Physical Level
One of the defined physical levels. This is the partition in which signals of the virtual level are
switched.
•
Free Source
Entries in this field are optional. A free source is one of the source devices you have defined
in your configuration. If you have defined no source devices yet, you will have to enter values
in these fields later if you want to define free sources.
A free source is one that, for example, can be assigned to a tieline destination or a machine
control destination to release that destination from use. It is not necessary to define a free
source. You can use any source. Typically, a free source is black/silence.
The drop-down list includes all source devices assigned to the level set you are editing.
