‘Add SW Panel’ Page

‘Previous’ Button

Click the ‘Previous’ button if you want to go to the previous page in the panel definition
sequence.

‘Next’ Button

Click ‘Next’ to go to the panel configuration page. In this page, you specify the details of the
software panel.

‘Finish’ Button

Click ‘Finish’ to accept the panel thus far defined in the ‘Add SW Panel’ page.

The panel definition, as specified in the ‘Add SW Panel’ page is incomplete. You must later go to
the panel configuration page to complete the definition.

This button allows you to create a number of panel configurations rapidly and complete them
later.

After you click ‘Finish’, the ‘Add SW Panel’ page remains and is re-initialized for additional entries.

‘Cancel’ Button

Click ‘Cancel’ if you want to terminate the panel definition you started.

When you click ‘Cancel’, the ‘Add SW Panel’ page re-initializes for another entry.

Basic Information

There are 3 fields in the basic information section:

Type

Select a software panel type in the drop-down list of the ‘Type’ field.

Computer (or Windows User) Name where panel will be located

Examine system parameters of the Windows system of the PC on which the GUI that uses
this configuration resides. Either obtain the system name or the Windows user name of the
user that will use the panel. Enter either name in the text field.

When the corresponding panel is installed, its installation option “per-user or per-
computer” must match the entry you choose in this configuration.

User

Choose a user name from the drop-down list of this field. (It is this user name that is reported
when the panel’s operator locks or protects sources or destinations.)
