Configuration of Name Sets
The following is a sample of the name set dialog:
This dialog lets you view all name sets at once and to modify any of them at any time. (You
might have to scroll to view different name sets if you have many.)
A name set
—
defined by a column in the table
—
can have blank or undefined entries. Where
there are blanks, a control panel using the name set will display the system name instead of a
blank.
The name set dialog has several sections:
•
Change Section
—
apply or remove changes.
•
Definition Section
—
create or delete name sets.
•
Bulk Change Section
—
move or copy data from one name set to another or delete name set
data.
•
Name Set Table
—
the table displays the name sets and it is in the table that you enter the
alternate names of the name sets.
The name set dialog also has two buttons:
•
Update External Databases
Clicking this button causes the system controller to send a notification message (to third-
party control systems, iControl, and Kaleido subsystems) that a name set change has
occurred.
•
Refresh All Name Sets
Clicking this button causes NV9000-SE Utilities to retrieve the currently defined name sets
from the active system controller (the one you have chosen in the system management
pane) and update its name set tables.
