Devices and their Physical Connections.
Choose this option when you want to import data for devices (and their physical connec-
tions) The option has a drop-down list in which you select a level set to which the imported
devices will be assigned.
(The configuration must, of course, have the appropriate level set defined.)
After you choose the level set, click the ‘Create Mapping’ button to continue with the import.
Buttons
At the bottom of the page (and other pages in the export equence) are buttons that allow you
to move through the sequence of steps in device definition. This page has two buttons:
•
Create Mapping
•
Update/Preview Mapping
•
Cancel
The buttons are grayed out (disabled) until they become applicable.
‘Create Mapping’ Button
The ‘Create Mapping’ button takes you to the
in the import
sequence. When that page is displayed, the software creates a new mapping.
‘Update/Preview Mapping’ Button
The ‘Update/Preview Mapping’ button also takes you to the
in the
import sequence. When that page is displayed, the software does not create a new mapping,
but uses the mapping you selected in the ‘Import Mapping File’ option.
The ‘Update/Preview Mapping’ button is enabled only when you have selected a file under the
‘Import Mapping File’ option. It is not enabled for the ‘Target Table’ or ‘Devices and Physical
Connections’ options.
‘Cancel’ Button
Click ‘Cancel’ if you want to terminate the import you started. When you click ‘Cancel’, NV9000-
SE Utilities closes the page.
