Filters
At the top of the page are 2 filters:
•
Mnemonic Filter. If you enter text in this field, the list of categories is restricted to those cate-
gories whose names contain the text you entered.
•
Level Set Filter. If you select a level set in this field, the list of categories is restricted to those
categories that include the level set selected.
(If you choose ‘All LevelSets’

assuming that is not the name of a level set you defined

the
category list is not restricted.)
Category List
The device list has 3 columns:
•
ID. These are the database IDs of the different categories.
•
Mnemonic. These are the names of the categories.
•
Description. These are optional descriptions of the categories.
You can use click, shift-click, and control-click techniques to select any of the categories in the
list.
Buttons
‘Edit Selected Categories’ Button
This button opens a category details page for each of the categories you have selected in the
list. It is in the category details page that you specify the the suffixes for devices in the category.

This button causes NV9000-SE Utilities to display the ‘Add Category’ page. The ‘Add Category’
page starts a category definition.
