‘Add Control Panel’ Page
‘Add Control Panel’ Page
The ‘Add Control Panel’ page starts a series of steps, in multiple pages, in which you create a new
hardware (or virtual) panel configuration. There are two ways to get the ‘Add Control Panel’
page:
• Click the ‘Add Control Panel’ button at the bottom of the ‘Control Panels’ page (of the ‘Con-
figuration’ pane).
• Click ‘Add Control Panel’ in the ‘Tasks’ pane.

This page, as the start of a series, has 2 main sections, in addition to the buttons at the bottom:
• Basic Information. In this sections, you select the type of panel and provide a unique panel
ID for the configuration you are about to define.
• Configuration Options. In this section, you specify whether the configuration you are creat-
ing is new or a copy of an existing configuration.
Buttons
At the bottom of the page are 6 buttons. Four of them allow you to move through the sequence
of steps in panel definition:
• Previous
• Next
• Finish
• Cancel
The buttons are grayed out (disabled) until they become applicable. For instance, you cannot
use the ‘Previous’ button (to go to a previous page) until you have used the ‘Next’ button to go
to one of the next pages.
