Tieline Exclusions
If, for any reason, you want to prevent an input port or output port from being routed using a
tieline, you can enter the port and the tieline in a table of “tieline exclusions.”
The ports named in tieline exclusion table must not be in the set of ports used by tielines.

Usage
A tieline route is one taken from a source on an upstream router to a destination on a down-
stream router.
The following examples show some uses of tielines.
•
Case A: connecting two routers.
In this case, tielines connect two different router systems. Here, VTR 1 is connected (only) to
routers in System A. With tielines, you can take VTR 1 to MON 3.
