NV9000-SE Utilities

User’s Guide

NV9000-SE Utilities saves snapshots in a designated snapshot folder. Under Windows XP, the
pathname of the snapshot folder is

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\CtrlSysSnapshots

or, under Windows 7,

C:\Users\‹user›\CtrlSysSnapshots

If you intend to send a snapshot file to someone, copy it from the designated snapshot folder.

Edit Name Sets

A name set is an alternate naming space for the devices defined in your configuration. (Some
facilities prefer to have one or more alternate name sets.)

You can define any number of name sets. A system name space (or default name space) always
exists. It is in the default name space that you define devices in the configuration pages of
NV9000-SE Utilities.

If your configuration has name sets (other than the default), certain control panel configurations
can allow panel operators to switch between the system name space and the alternate name
set.

When you click ‘Edit Name Sets’, a dialog appears, similar to the following:

This dialog lets you view all name sets at once and to modify any of them at any time. (You
might have to scroll to view different name sets if you have many.)

A name set

defined by a column in the table

can have blank or undefined entries. Where

there are blanks, a control panel using the name set will display the system name instead of a
blank.
