duplex
Use the duplex command in Interface Configuration mode to configure the
duplex operation of a given Ethernet interface. To restore the default, use the
no form of this command.
Syntax
duplex {auto | half | full}
no duplex
Parameter Description
Default Configuration
Auto is enabled by default.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode
User Guidelines
When duplex is configured to auto, auto negotiation is enabled for the port.
This configuration cannot be done on SFP module ports as they operate only
in full duplex mode.
Parameter Description
auto Auto negotiation is enabled for the port.
half Force half-duplex operation.
full Force full-duplex operation.
