Enables or disables Inter-chassis links (ICL).
Synopsis
iclcfg --enable slot/icl_group
iclcfg --disable slot/icl_group
iclcfg --persistentenable slot/icl_group
iclcfg --persistentdisable slot/icl_group
iclcfg --help
Description
Use this command to enable or disable an inter-chassis link (ICL) or to enable or disable an ICL
persistently. The command enables or disables the ICL by enabling or disabling the ports
associated with the link. Persistently disabled ports remain disabled across reboots and power
cycles. This command is supported only on the Brocade DCX and the Brocade DCX-S4.
Notes
The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may
be in place. Refer to chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS commands" and Appendix A, "Command
Availability" for details.
This command must be executed on the active CP.
Operands
The following operands are required:
slot
Specifies the slot number of the ICL group to be enabled or disabled, followed
by a slash (/). The slot on the DCX can be either 5 or 8. On the DCX-4S, valid
slots are 3 and 6.
icl_group
Specifies the ICL port group to be disabled or enabled. An ICL group
represents a range of ports. Specify 0 to enable or disable ports 0-15. Specify
1 to enable or disable ports 16-31.

Enables the ICL for the specified port group.

disable
Disables the ICL for the specified port group.
--
persistentenable
Persistently enables the ICL for the specified port group.

persistentdisable
Persistently disables the ICL for the specified port group.

Displays the command usage.
Examples
To disable the ICL for ports 16-31:
switch:user>
iclcfg --disable 8/1
To enable the ICL for ports 16-31:
switch:user>
iclcfg --enable 8/1
To disable the ICL for ports 16-31 persistently:
switch:user>
iclcfg --persistentdisable 8/1
