To specify the recipient of a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) notification message, use 
the snmp-server trap target-address command in global configuration mode. To remove the 
specified host from the configuration, use the no form of this command. 
 
Command Syntax 
snmp-server trap target-address ip-address community string [udpport number] 
no snmp-server trap target-address ip-address community string [udpport port] 
ip-address
IP address.
community string
Password-like community string sent with the notification operation.
udpport port
(Optional) Specifies that SNMP notifications or informs are to be sent to 
an SNMP manager. The default port is 162. 
 
Default 
The router does not send any trap messages.
