Processing a Job (DirectScan)
This section explains about the basic flow of processing a job to start a scan when using DirectScan.
Before processing a job with the scanner, you need to configure the settings for the job.
You can register the way to send images from a scanner (saving them to a folder or sending them by
email) and the scan settings as a job, according to the intended use of images.
1 Turn on the scanner.
For details, refer to
How to Turn the Power ON (page 61) .
2 Confirm that the following main screen is displayed on the touch screen.

If the above screen is not displayed, refer to How to Change the Way the Scanner Is Used
(page 411) to change the main screen.
3 Load a document in the ADF paper chute (feeder).
