HINT
● This setting can be configured when sending images by email.
When images are saved in folders, "fi-
ScannerSerialNumber" is added to file
names to ensure that each file name in a save destination is unique.
● The scanner serial number can be checked on the product label.
For the product label, refer to
Checking the Product Label (page 250) .
When configuring a format that contains {Prefix} and {Counter} for [File naming method],
also configure the following settings:
● Prefix
Enter a string of 40 characters or less to be added to file names.
The space before or after the character string is ignored.
The factory default setting is "untitled".
HINT
If the string contains characters that cannot be displayed on the touch screen of the
scanner (such as environment-dependent characters), the string may not display
correctly on the screen.
● Counter (Digit)
Set the number of digits for the counter to between 0 and 6 when a counter is added to
the file names.
The factory default setting is [3].
ATTENTION
When using DirectScan on multiple scanners, make sure that the file names are
different for each scanner.
