Is the network stable?
Solution
Connect to the network after it becomes stable.
A network can be unstable by the following events:

A network monitoring program is running.
●
A file is transferring.
If the network is unstable, restart the network devices. However, before restarting them, make
sure that communications with other devices are not affected if the network devices are
restarted. The network devices may become unstable.

Are there any security restrictions on the computer?
Solution
In the Windows Firewall settings or in the firewall settings of your security software, unblock
the communication of the port numbers which are used by the following software.

computer or security software.

Is the computer connected to a wired LAN?
Solution
Check the connection status of the computer in the following procedure:

On the touch screen, press

[Scanner Settings]
→
[Network]
→
[Check
connection (Ping)].

In the [Check connection (Ping)] screen, enter the host name or the IP address of the
computer, and press the [Run] button.

Is the scanner connected to another computer?
Solution
The scanner can be connected to only one computer at a time. Wait until the other computer
is disconnected from the scanner, and then connect the computer to be used again.
