Is the IP address of the scanner correct?
Solution
Check the IP address of the scanner in the following procedure:

On the touch screen, press
→
[Scanner Settings]
→
[Network]
→
[Wired LAN]
→
[IP Address (IPv4)] or [IP Address (IPv6)].

On the [IP Address (IPv4)] or [IP Address (IPv6)] screen, check the setting items for the
following.
When specifying an IP address manually, specify the correct IP address.
When setting the IP address automatically, check whether the DHCP server functions
normally.
Even when the DHCP server functions normally, an IP address may not be assigned
correctly depending on the settings for the DHCP server. Check the operation status
and the settings for the DHCP server.

Is the IP address of the scanner used for other communication devices?
Solution
If there are multiple communication devices using the same IP address on the same network,
communication may fail. Avoid duplicates in IP addresses.
HINT
If there is an IP address conflict, a notification appears on the touch screen.

Have you connected another communication device with the same IP address as the scanner to the
server in the past?
Solution
Communication fails if you connect the scanner to the server and change the preferences
settings without turning off the server after the server communicated with another host or
communication device with the same IP address as the scanner. Restart the server.

Is there a firewall device between the scanner and the server?
Solution
Check that the access from the scanner is not prohibited by the firewall device.
