If [Disable Power Button] is selected for [Power Button], this setting will be ignored.
[Default] button
Restores the power saving mode settings to the factory default.
Power Button
Specify whether or not to turn on/off the scanner by pressing the [Power] button on the
scanner.

Enable Power Button
The [Power] button on the scanner is used to turn on/off the scanner.
This is the factory default setting.

Disable Power Button
Select this to use an AC power strip to control power supply for peripherals such as a scanner
in accordance with the computer's power.
The [Power] button on the scanner is not used to turn on/off the scanner.
Enable USB Power
This setting goes into effect when [Enable] is set to off for [Enable Wired LAN] and
[Enable Power Button] is selected.
If [Enable USB Power] is set to on, the scanner can be turned on or off by the following
actions in addition to pressing the [Power] button on the scanner.

Turning the computer on or off
●
Connecting or disconnecting the USB cable
ATTENTION

[Enable USB Power] functions as [Enable Power Button] in the following cases:

When [Enable] is set to on for [Enable Wired LAN]

When the scanner and computer are not connected via a USB cable

Some types of computers and USB hubs keep supplying power to the USB bus even after
the computer is turned off.
In that case, [Enable USB Power] may not work properly.
