Cannot Connect the Scanner to the Server with the Specified Host Name

Check the following points

Is the host name of the server correct? (page 211)

Is the DNS server information configured correctly? (page 211)

Does the DNS server function normally? (page 212)

Are the scanner and server connected to the network? (page 212)

Is the IP address of the scanner correct? (page 212)

Is the IP address of the scanner used for other communication devices? (page 213)

Have you connected another communication device with the same IP address as the scanner
to the server in the past? (page 213)

Is there a firewall device between the scanner and the server? (page 213)

Are the settings on the scanner that are related to the server specified correctly? (page 213)

Are the settings on the server specified correctly? (page 214)

Are the [Network Encryption] settings the same on the scanner and the server? (page 214)

If the problem still persists, check each item in

first, then contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this

product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List if supplied with this product, or
refer to the contact information in the Contact for Inquiries section if provided in Safety
Precautions supplied with this product, and then make an inquiry.

Is the host name of the server correct?

Solution

Check that the host name of the server is correct in the following procedure:

On the touch screen, press

[Scanner Information]

[Network].

Check the host name of the connected server in the [Network] screen.
