Cannot Connect to the NTP Server (DirectScan)
Check the following points
●
Has the connection to the NTP server timed out? (page 218)
●
Is the IP address of the scanner correct? (page 218)
●
Is the IP address of the scanner used for other communication devices? (page 219)
●
Can the scanner and NTP server communicate with one another? (page 219)
●
Is the NTP server functioning normally? (page 220)
●
Are the settings for the proxy server and firewall configured correctly? (page 220)
If the problem still persists, check each item in
Before You Contact the Scanner Service
first, then contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this
product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List if supplied with this product, or
refer to the contact information in the Contact for Inquiries section if provided in Safety
Precautions supplied with this product, and then make an inquiry.

Has the connection to the NTP server timed out?
Solution
The connection to the NTP server may time out due to heavy access to the server.
Wait a while, then try to connect to the NTP server again by following the below procedure:

On the touch screen, press
→
[Scanner Settings]
→
[Network]
→
[Linking with
Server]
→
[NTP Server].

Press the [Sync Time] button

Is the IP address of the scanner correct?
Solution
Check the IP address of the scanner in the following procedure:

On the touch screen, press
→
[Scanner Settings]
→
[Network]
→
[Wired LAN]
→
[IP Address (IPv4)] or [IP Address (IPv6)].

On the [IP Address (IPv4)] or [IP Address (IPv6)] screen, check the setting items for the
following.
When specifying an IP address manually, specify the correct IP address.
