Error Code

Error Details and the Solution

M5:D5

An error occurred in the communication with the destination. The
save destination path is too long. Check the save destination
settings.

M5:D6

An error occurred in the communication with the destination. No
destination was found. Check the destination status.

M6:E1

An error occurred in the communication with the destination.
Check the job destination settings.

M6:E2

An error occurred in the communication with the destination.
Failed to validate server certificates. Check the scanner settings.

M6:E3

An error occurred in the communication with the destination.
Destination authentication failed. Check the job destination
settings.

M6:E4

An error occurred in the communication with the destination. The
save destination path is wrong. Check the job destination settings.

M6:A0

System error
If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please
inform your service provider of the error code.
M6:A0

*1:This is an SSL/TLS error.

*2:This is an SFTP error.

*3:This error may occur in the following cases:

When the destination server does not support basic commands

When trying to send images with a total size larger than the upper size limit on the SMTP
server (this depends on the SMTP server you are connecting to)

*4:This error occurs when files are saved in the destination folder and the total size of the file

name characters exceeds 2 MB.

Take the following measures.

Check the message displayed in the [Error] screen, and take measures accordingly.

To check the network settings for the scanner, press the [Set] button.

To check the destination and job settings for DirectScan, refer to the following.
