When the [Stop] button on the touch screen is pressed during scanning, document feeding stops
and then scanning stops.
If documents remain in the scanner, refer to
When a Paper Jam Occurs (page 175) to remove the
documents.
Scanning Has Been Paused by the User
Scanning has been paused by the user.
When the [Pause] button on the touch screen is pressed during scanning, scanning pauses.
To resume scanning, press the [Scan] button on the touch screen.
To stop scanning, press on the touch screen.
Outside Designated Scan Area Error
If a paper jam occurs when the bottom edge of the document is detected before the specified area
is scanned with the ADF, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays one of the following error
codes and the corresponding details and solution.

Outside designated scan area error
Detected the page end before starting scanning.
Please change the scan area, and scan again.
