Cannot Connect the Scanner and a Computer via the USB Cable

Check the following points

Is the USB cable connected properly? (page 207)

Is the connector on the USB cable broken or damaged? (page 207)

Did you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner? (page 207)

If the problem still persists, check each item in

Before You Contact the Scanner Service

first, then contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this

product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List if supplied with this product, or
refer to the contact information in the Contact for Inquiries section if provided in Safety
Precautions supplied with this product, and then make an inquiry.

Is the USB cable connected properly?

Solution

Use the USB cable that is supplied.
Check whether the scanner and computer are connected via the USB cable.

Is the connector on the USB cable broken or damaged?

Solution

Use a new USB cable and connect it properly.

Did you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner?

Solution

If you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner, the connection between the
scanner and a computer may not be able to be established.
Change the USB setting for the scanner to [USB 2.0].
