Meaning
The name-resolution or address-resolution for the destination specified in [Host Name/IP
address] may have failed.
Solution
●
Make sure that [Host Name/IP address] is specified correctly.

Make sure that the DNS server settings are correct.

If [Host Name/IP address] is specified correctly, refer to
Cannot Connect the Scanner to the
Server with the Specified Host Name (page 211)
●
Refer to

How to Start Up Scanner Selection Tool
To use the scanner connected to a network from a computer, you need to select the scanner in
Scanner Selection Tool.

Scanner Selection Tool can be started up in the following procedure:

Right-click the Start screen, and select [All apps] on the app bar
