Configuring the
DHCP Relay
Option 82
Table 44 lists the commands that configure DHCP relay option 82. The
commands are located in the Global Configuration mode and apply to the
entire switch.

Enable the DHCP relay agent to insert
its option 82 information into the
client-request packets it relays to the
DHCP servers. IP DHCP-RELAY AGENT-OPTION -
Stop the DHCP relay agent from
inserting its option 82 information into
the client-request packets it relays to
the DHCP servers. This is the default
setting. NO IP DHCP-RELAY AGENT-
OPTION -
Configure the DHCP relay agent to
discard DHCP requests that have
option 82 information and a null IP
address (0.0.0.0) in the giaddr fields. IP DHCP-RELAY AGENT-OPTION
CHECKING -
Configure the DHCP relay agent to
forward DHCP requests that have
option 82 information and a null IP
address (0.0.0.0) in the giaddr fields.
This is the default value. NO IP DHCP-RELAY AGENT-
OPTION CHECKING -
